Another month, another care package. For April, I whipped an Easter care package. This month’s theme is the overtly cheesy “some bunny loves you.” Or subtitled “diabetes starter kit.” Sadly, I couldn’t find the really cute Nestle cookie dough that has Easter designs. Target had the Annie’s organic brand / bunny shaped foods on sale, so those were a perfect addition to the box.
What’s inside:
Annie’s cheddar bunnies
Annie’s white cheddar mac and cheese cups
Annie’s bunny grahams
Utz cotton tails (white cheddar puffs)
Russell Stover white chocolate bunny
White Reese’s eggs and Kits Kats
I did send a lot of candy this month. Mac loves white chocolate (which is hard to find all year round). This is the last month to send candy until fall (it can melt in transit). If you’re sending food, you should avoid including things that can melt between April and October.
I also added in some protein bars and some magazines. To fill up the boxes, I have also been sending shelf-stable meals (like pasta). These give Mac some flexibility if he doesn’t want to eat at the DFAC or wants a snack.
Let me know what you would include in an Easter care package in the comments!
