Simplify 365
When we came home at the beginning of the year, we realized that we have a lot of crap. I mean, a lot. Looking around, I see piles of stuff that we just don’t need. A lot of fellow bloggers have posted about reducing, and I’m jumping on the bandwagon. I’m setting a goal to get rid of 365 things in the year 2016. Interested in joining? 30 by 30 update: 2016
I’m checking in at the start of a new year! I honestly haven’t done much since my last check-in in September. 1. Read the Bible completely. Every single verse, every single book. 2. Save $5,000 a year each year. 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 3. Complete my Masters degree. Semester #2 started on Saturday! 4. Pay off at least 50% of my undergrad student loans. 5. Run one organized race… View Post »

Mac had block leave, so we planned an 11 day trip to maximize our time off. A major part of living away from family is getting yourselves, your cat, and your crap there when you go to visit. I was placing a large Amazon order ($250 in… View Post »
Revamping my winter wardrobe
One thing I noticed as the weather cooled off (and then got straight up cold) is that my wardrobe is majorly lacking in useful winter pieces. Back in my college days, I had nice winter clothes that I wore for work during school breaks or for formal sorority events. I moved to North Carolina after I graduated and began paring down on the cold-weather gear when I would clean out… View Post »
