Our Colorado bucket list update
Last year, I made a bucket list of ten quintessential things to do while we lived in Colorado. Here’s an update.
1. Go skiing, snowboarding, or tubing.
2. Attend an outdoor Easter sunrise service.
Sadly, this one will be removed. No church does a service at Garden of the Gods. The closest service that I have found is at Red Rocks outside of Denver.
3. Summit Pikes Peak in our Jeep and on the Cog Railway.
Done! We took the in-laws on the Cog, and I drove my bestie up in the Jeep when she visited in September. I am going to drag Mac back up at the beginning of summer.
4. Have a romantic dinner at the Broadmoor.
5. See the Sky Sox play.
Done! We have a partial season ticket package, and we went to four games together last season.
6. Visit Cripple Creek and ride the narrow gauge railroad.
Done! We’ve been to Cripple Creek a few times. We also took the in-laws on the narrow gauge railroad.
7. Road trip to Dinosaur National Monument.
8. Celebrate the Fourth of July at Memorial Park.
Done! We went last year with my mom. If we go back this year, we’ll definitely sit closer to the stage to actually hear the concert.
9. Climb one of the 14ers.
This is a goal for this summer. Some folks in my program go almost every weekend.
10. Take Mac to a rodeo.
We did get some free tickets when we bought lottery tickets last week. Now to convince Mac.
