So I’ve mentioned a few times that we’re now moving in June. A big part of a painless move is preparing well ahead of time. We also have to begin paring down our stuff. DVDs and such. Mac and I have reasonably similar taste in movies and so own multiple copies of Gladiator, The Patriot, and Love Actually. We also have been slowly upgrading to Blu-Ray when they go on… View Post »
Down the Downton rabbithole
Y’all, it might’ve taken me three seasons to start watching “Downton Abbey,” but I’m suddenly hooked. And what’s a gal to do when Netflix only has Season 1 on Instant? At least I own yoga pants that are different colors?… View Post »
25for25, April
April’s just breezing on by. In honor of my 25th birthday this year (umm, what?), I’ve decided against traditional new year’s resolutions and am hopping on the 25 for 25 bandwagon. Basically, 25 goals I want to accomplish by my 25th birthday on September 18. 1. Be a better Christian: attend church regularly, finish The Purpose Driven Life, read the Bible. 2. Lose 25 pounds and keep it off.Lol, nope…. View Post »
Life as we know it
It’s particularly poignant that I post this less than 24 hours after the horrid tragedy in Boston. For me, life as a silly, empty-headed freshman sorority pledge ended six years ago today. The events of that day are burned into my memory, my sub-conscious, my every living fiber. It started off normally, aside from the sirens that woke me up a few minutes before my alarm that I dismissed as… View Post »
