So Thanksgiving is two weeks away. Does anyone else think that 2013 is flying by? Mac’s course graduation is two weeks from tomorrow on Thanksgiving Eve. His parents and grandfather are coming down for graduation and Thanksgiving. This will be the second holiday that we’ve hosted; the first was Thanksgiving in 2010 right before Mac deployed. Our first Thanksgiving table. I keep seeing lush, gorgeous table-scapes and décor ideas on Pinterest…. View Post »
Thank a Veteran today
Today is Veteran’s Day. Please take the time to thank a service member or veteran for their service. Even if you don’t agree with the reasons behind the conflicts in which they fought, they sacrificed more than you can ever imagine for your freedom. I’m sorry if this video makes you ugly cry. High Five (Four) for Friday
It’s the weekend already. Whoot. 1. Mac has a four day for Veterans’ Day. 2. I’m running my first 5K tomorrow. Run or Dye, here we come! 3. We’re off to look at new phones today. 4. Purrburger is currently at the groomer after attacking our leather loveseat twice this week. Petco’s shampoo scent this month is pumpkin spice. Have a good weekend!
Hawaiian crock pot chicken

I like the flavor combination of the sweet and smoky barbecue sauce with the tangy pineapple. If you can find it, try out the King’s Hawaiian barbecue sauce. It’s a well-balanced barbecue sauce that doesn’t overwhelm you with smoky or meaty… View Post »
