Two years ago, I bought my wedding dress on Black Friday (no, I didn’t go at 5 am. I made an appointment for like 2 pm). Mac came home from his first deployment about two weeks later.
Favorite Thanksgiving Food
Green bean casserole. I love it. Most of my family members don’t even eat it anymore because we make it for every single holiday meal.
What is a Thanksgiving Tradition you and your family have?
For several years, my dad’s family would all meet up in Asheville, North Carolina. Since we were spread out over several states, we would rent houses out on Lake Lure to spend Thanksgiving together. One year, we even at dinner at the Biltmore Estate.

These are from the first Thanksgiving we hosted in 2010. We didn’t have enough actual plates for everyone, so we wound up buying plastic china from Sam’s Club.
What are you most looking forward to about this Thanksgiving?
Mac’s graduation the day before Thanksgiving! He’s worked really hard in this course, and I know he is beyond ready to graduate.
OMG. My favorite dish for Thanksgiving is Green Bean Casserole. 🙂 We are family. Miss you!
