IT’S SEPTEMBER!!!! September is only the greatest month of the year, mainly because it’s my birth month. This is the third September I’ve been blogging, and you lucky ducks get to hear about how much I love September for a third time. This also starts the unofficial countdown to the end of the year (which any wife of a deployed soldier can appreciate). Baseball, football, and fall weather. Warm days… View Post »
We didn’t even go downtown
So this weekend, I went to Blacksburg for Virginia Tech’s first football game. My friend, Lauren, has season tickets and a tailgating parking pass, so I go to games with her (and now her boyfriend). We headed up Friday. I got stuck in horrible traffic, and it took me a solid hour to get out of Northern Virginia (about 25 miles). I made it there around dinner, went to the… View Post »
Football care package – August
August’s care package is football themed in honor of the upcoming football season. Mac has his Xbox 360 with him, so I decided to surprise him with a copy of Madden 25. Much to my surprise, Xbox stopped making new copies of their games on the 360 platform to push the new Xbox One system. I wound up finding a copy at GameStop on my way to work. I also… View Post »

DC Duck Tour
Mac and I also checked out the DC Duck Tour when he was home (and I forgot to blog about it). We’d taken the Ducky Tours in Seattle and Stone Mountain, so we knew this was a must-do. The driving tour wound from Union Station down the Mall, onto the Potomac, then back into the District. The tour lasts about an hour total. As many times as we’ve been to… View Post »
And then I watched 25 seasons of TV in 3 months
Back in May, I wrote a post about my Netflix binge tendencies. Out of curiosity, I went back to see just how many of those shows I watched. It was eye-opening, shall we say. 172 episodes (8 seasons) of Supernatural x 42 minutes / episode = 120 hours 100 episodes (7 seasons) of Rules of Engagement x 22 minutes / episode = 37 hours 40 episodes (4 seasons) of Game… View Post »
