The empty house life

We signed for our house this past Thursday and finally unloaded our cars. It’s nice to be able to drive around without a car full of stuff.

Remember when I talked about our weird timeline with selling our house in Colorado and our move-in date in Georgia? Yeah. A combo of regular summer moves, the fact that this post has continual turnover because of multiple courses (which results in almost constant moves), and a deployment in one of the units here means that the movers are booked solid. We will have two weeks between signing our house lease and receiving our stuff. We’re not even a full week into that.

So what do you do all day when you don’t have any of your household goods? Basically, we pick an errand or thing to do each day and drag it out to last for a few hours. We broke down and bought a 32 inch TV (because Mac couldn’t live without a TV but he could live without any place to sit?). I’m honestly going kind of crazy. I think I have finally nagged Mac into going to the beach for the day (my original plan was to go for our fifth wedding anniversary, but we had Internet installed instead. #priorities). Only 8 more days after today…

Any suggestions for things to do in Augusta or things to do when your stuff is in storage?
