One of the places one our to see list in Chattanooga was the Tennessee Aquarium. I visited the Tennessee Aquarium a few times when the summer camp I went to took trips to Chattanooga. Mac and I love aquariums, so this was right up our alley. We followed our standard protocol and got there right as they opened (after our breakfast at Milk & Honey). I do believe we got a military discount (though I don’t remember). We waited in line for the doors to open because the day we went was the first day of spring break for some schools and a field trip day for other schools.
The Tennessee Aquarium is now two separate buildings. One is freshwater and rivers, and the other is ocean and marine life. You can start in either exhibit or go to the IMAX, depending on the ticket you purchase. We started in the Appalachian Cover Forest and worked our way through the rivers building. From there, we headed over to the marine building. The top floor has a beautiful hothouse full of tropical flowers and butterflies. You then you walk through the multi-floor aquarium tanks. The aquarium is very family-friendly and is always listed on the must-see recommendations for Chattanooga.
Have you ever visited the Tennessee Aquarium?

Such an amazing place!! My kids and I had the best time here. There was so much to see. I couldn’t believe how stroller friendly both places were. Did you go up to the Butterfly house? We didn’t attract butterflies like some people, but we loved watching them up close. We enjoyed everything about it except their public restroom situation haha

We walked through it. There was a field trip in there at the same time, so we didn’t spend too much time there.
