Our guest bath has non-stick treads in the tub. As anyone with these knows, the treads are absolutely impossible to keep clean. I recalled seeing an article about the cleaner you could buy direct from the manufacturer and headed over to Pinterest to see if any other cleaners worked. I take no credit for this working. One post suggested Bar Keepers’ Friend. Bar Keepers’ Friend is highly acidic and is used to polish up metal surfaces that get a lot of traffic. I poured on a generous amount, let it set for a few minutes, then scrubbed with the textured side of a sponge. You do need to use some elbow grease, and you might want to crack a window. The picture is blurry, but it works really well. I’m going to do this every time we have someone visit to keep our guest tub looking good.

Those treads are definitely a pain to keep clean, but it looks like yours turned out great.

Great tip! Those textured shower floors are nearly impossible to keep clean

Maybe this is what I need to try! The dirt here stains everything, and the bottoms of our tubs are textured, so it’s hard to really get in there.

I despise cleaning tubs so I feel like whenever I do get around to it, I need the extra strength stuff to cover up my laziness.
