Wedding day dawned bright and early.
I might have been excited. |
This helped reduce stress. |
I have been anxiously stalking the weather for ten days. My worries about rain were quelled. I showered and dried my hair without any product, per my stylist’s request then headed out to Michael’s to grab a few more containers (since I only had ten). Interestingly enough, I was not the only gal walking in the store as they unlocked the doors. I should’ve grabbed corsage pins for our bouquets, but I was on a quest for galvanized tins. Of course, they only had one of the 5.5″ tins I needed, so I bought the remaining one, two oval ones for the parents and wedding party tables, and a milk jug for my bouquet.
Next was the salon. I dropped in to make sure the ladies arrived in a timely fashion. My mother-in-law was already being styled. I helped myself to the spread set out by Sara before heading back to the house to finish the last arrangements and bouquets. I also had to put table numbers on the place cards, collect the holders, and grab the guestbook and pens. All the last minute items were rounded up and stashed with the flowers. I headed back to the guest bathroom and put together my bouquet. It was around this time that I noticed I needed corsage pins or floral tape. Whoops.
I drove back to the salon where BM A was finishing up her appointment. BM JBenz was next. Then it was my turn. I handed Sara my inspiration pic, and she got to work.
In hindsight, I should’ve picked a less complicated hairstyle. My goal was to arrive at the Botanical Garden and be dressed for photos at 4 pm. Ha. Sara nailed the hairstyle, but the length of my hair dragged out the process. For makeup, she used a primer, liquid foundation, powder, and blush on my skin. I bought a water-proof eyeliner at the Sephora in JC Penney a few days before. Sara lined my eyes and glued on false eyelashes. Just like that (but really, it was about two hours), I was off to my house to grab my dress and accessories.

I love hearing about what you were doing the morning before. I was creating your story in my head while Mike and I were driving down the 3 hours. 🙂
