We’ve been in Colorado about four months, and we decided to not join a gym right away. I’ve been working out at home with the 21 Day Fix workouts, but I just don’t love them. So I’m going back to Pure Barre. I bought a package and am starting classes again this week. I have to say that Pure Barre is the first workout that I’ve actually missed doing. Mac’s regiment has a ball at the end of the month, so I’m focusing on toning my arms a bit before then.
Have y’all tried Pure Barre? Do you like it?

I have never tried it but it definitely seems interesting.

I’ve heard great things about it, but I’ve never tried it. My work outs usually consist of long walks these days. Maybe one day we’ll get back into the gym routine.

I like walks just to get fresh air and get out of the house, too.

I recently found your blog, we just moved to Colorado in October. Your previous posts are cracking me up because weve pretty much visited all of the same places! I noticed you have a few posts on Barre so I thought I would ask- do you recommend it for someone who is out of shape? I love slower paced strengthening workouts like yoga, but I have no clue about these classes (and I mostly do at home stuff if I exercise) I have been eyeing their groupon for awhile but I don’t want to make a fool out of myself haha! Group workouts are so intimidating feeling to me!

I would classify myself as wildly out of shape. I have done yoga, pilates, and dance classes, so the moves are familiar but no dance experience is needed (it’s not ballet class). If you’re interested, we can meet up and go to a class together!

I really want to try this, but I am having a hard time justifying the cost when we already pay for a gym. Why is working out so expensive?!?
Lisa says
I know! I buy the monthly unlimited package and try to go a lot to lower the per-class price.
