I made these wedding color Rice Krispie treats in addition to the bride and groom ones. Leslie’s wedding colors are green, blue, and yellow, so I opted for green melts and royal blue melts. The yellow really wasn’t dark enough to show up against the color of the cereal.
For the monograms: you can use any font and style you want. I practiced with my squeeze bottle and settled on a cursive “D” and a heart. I’ve seen people pipe the lettering on parchment and transfer it to the surface, but I’m lazy and did it straight on the bars.
Gather:
6 cups of Rice Krispie cereal
10 ounces (one small bag) of small marshmallows
3 tbsp. of butter
2 bags of green candy melts
2 bags of royal blue candy melts
1 bag of white chocolate candy melts
1 mini squeeze bottle
Melt marshmallows and butter in microwave safe dish. Stir in Rice Krispies until coated. Line 9×13 pan with parchment paper and spread Rice Krispies evenly. Cut into bars. Melt candy melts in separate bowls. Dip half of each bar in chocolate. Let chocolate harden. Pour half a cup of white chocolate into squeeze bottle. Pipe letters and monograms onto each bar.
