Homecoming, round 2

If y’all didn’t see my post at 4 am yesterday, Mac is home! He wound up coming home a week early in his year-long tour. His flight was originally supposed to arrive around 8 pm. They were delayed in Germany because of weather (during the delay, the child sitting next to him made her self literally throw up from screaming and carrying on) and didn’t arrive until about 1:45 am. After clearing customs and the baggage claim, we finally met up around 2:45 am and made it back to Falls Church at almost 4 am.

I would like to extend a huge thanks to Operation Welcome Home Maryland for coordinating volunteers and goodie bags to welcome everyone home. A lot of people arrived at 8 pm and stayed the whole way through until the flight landed and deplaned. It was great to see so many people come out to support our troops on their way home.
