Now that the weather will hopefully start cooling off, I’m hoping we can explore our new hometown a bit more in the coming months. So far, we’ve just been trying new restaurants (and have been pretty successful) and taken a drive or two. We missed out on a baseball game because of the monsoon rains we’ve gotten this summer. Luckily, because of the Masters, I found lots of websites with info about what to do in Augusta.
What I want to do:
Trolley tour: we did these in Savannah and Charleston, so why not where we live?
From www.augustaga.org |
River / canal tour: we don’t have a boat, and this would give a unique view of the city.

First Friday: similar to Fay’s Fourth Friday, it’s basically a street fair downtown on Broad Street.
Walk the Riverwalk: how gorgeous are these gardens? It’ll be interesting to see what sort of foliage shows up in the fall.

What have y’all done to explore your new hometown? Any suggestions for Augusta?

Taking a tour of the city you live in is a great idea! It’s nice to learn new things about your hometown.

How fun! So many amazing things to do. We have explored so much in El Paso, we love it.

All of that sounds so fun. I hope I can explore Charleston when I move down.

I was only in Augusta for a few days, but we LOVED the farmer’s market. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday morning.
