I had my third Ideal Protein weigh-in today and couldn’t think of a better title. I’m down one whole pound and another 3.5 inches. Totals: 5.5 pounds and 11.5 inches. Whoopie. I realize that muscle weighs more than fat, but I have to think that the scale in going to have to start dropping soon. Foods for this week: southwest cheese curls, wildberry yogurt drink, and rotini (a new Ideal… View Post »
On Tenenbaums
Once upon a time (second grade to be exact), I learned “O Christmas Tree” in German for my school’s Christmas concert. To this day, I don’t actually know the words in English. For all I know, these are the lyrics. From Pinterest Mac and I recovered from St. Barbara’s by decking our halls (or just the family room) in festive Christmas decor. Cheater, cheater, pumpkin eater

Since last week, I lost no pounds but an additional 3.5 inches bringing my total losses to 4.5 pounds and 8 inches. Whoot. I won’t lie, I feel very bloated. But I’m back on the Ideal Protein bandwagon… View Post »
St Barbara, the patron saint of artillery
I’m pretty sure patron saints exist for every single, random thing including the United States Army Artillery. Long story short, she was martyred by her father, and he was smited (smote?) by lightning after beheading her. So patron saint of lighting = patron saint of explosions (really? Explosions need a patron saint?) = patron saint of artillery… View Post »
Happy Turkey Day!
Today, I’m thankful that God has blessed me with such a wonderful husband and family. I have amazing friends and a beautiful home. I’m so thankful that Mac and I are spending this Thanksgiving together after he redeployed safely. Enjoy this time with your friends, families, and loved ones! And as a former retail employee, please don’t shop today or early tomorrow. Wait until the Saturday before Christmas: the deals… View Post »
