I’m back again with another session of virtual house decorating. Really, HGTV should have a show on how to use the Internet to decorate your house. Today, we’re looking at Behr paint colors. I needed some parts to fix my toilet, so I stopped by the paint chip section at Home Depot while I was there. I grabbed a few that caught my eye and tried to show them to… View Post »
Las Vegas recap
From my personal experience, wasting a day in Las Vegas to run a race is not the best use of your time in Las Vegas. Friday dawned bright and early. I left work around 11 pm on Thursday, so I went home, cleaned, and did laundry until I had to leave for the airport around 3 am. I was at the airport so early that even Starbucks wasn’t open. The Concert for Valor
Last night, I had the honor of attending the first Concert for Valor put on by HBO, Starbucks, and Chase. It was held in honor of our military veterans on the National Mall in front of the Capital. Artists and actors came together to put on a great show that helped highlight some of our veterans and their stories while raising awareness for the issues our service members and vets… View Post »
Veteran’s Day
Today is Veteran’s Day. Please take the time to thank the service members who have sacrificed and fought for our country. You can also show your support by donating to military and veterans’ charities. If you’re lucky enough to have today off, swing by your local Baskin Robbins to try their new flavor of the month, First Class Camouflage. For every scoop sold today, Baskin Robbins will donate 10 cents to… View Post »
