Picking our Behr paint colors

I’m back again with another session of virtual house decorating. Really, HGTV should have a show on how to use the Internet to decorate your house. Today, we’re looking at Behr paint colors. I needed some parts to fix my toilet, so I stopped by the paint chip section at Home Depot while I was there. I grabbed a few that caught my eye and tried to show them to Mac over Skype to get his thoughts. It’s harder than it looks. His opinion, as always, was “I’m fine with what you pick.” I jokingly told him that he would have a purple house if he wasn’t careful.

In our house (eek, I love typing that), several rooms will definitely need to be repainted. The master bedroom is brown. While I don’t mind brown walls, our furniture is brown. One of the upstairs bedrooms is hot pink with a green and white chair rail. It was Strawberry Shortcake themed. The kitchen is an apple green which I think we can make do with for now. Here are the colors I’ve picked out. All of these are Behr paint colors (this is not a sponsored post. Home Depot had the largest selection of Behr, and no one was standing in front of it).

Our paint colors

Bathrooms – Rocky Mountain Sky. This light grey-blue is perfect for our beach themed guest bath. It’ll also brighten up the downstairs powder room that is currently brown and windowless.

Master bedroom – Polaris Sky. I think this will complement our brown bedroom set well.

Family room – Tuscany Hillside. I saw a picture on Pinterest of a mossy green room in a cabin. I loved how it looked with dark leather furniture like ours.

Upstairs bedrooms – Frosted Lemon. The front two rooms face east, and I think this light yellow will keep them bright all day.
