Our Colorado house tour

I decided to update my original house tour photos with the professional photos taken by our Realtor when we sold our house. They are much nicer.

Considering we bought our house over a year ago, I’m finally getting around to posting our house tour. At first, it was general procrastination and avoiding giving my house a good once-over clean. Then Mac and I began debating the merits of rearranging the whole house. Which we did. We’re now on the whole “what do we spend money on if we’re only going to live here a few years” debate. #teamnewkitchen.

The main floor

Our home is an open floor plan, so our main floor is one room. The kitchen is divided by a countertop, and we split the remaining space into a dining room and a family room. The open space is nice, but I’m not overly in love with this layout in this house. Things you learn after living in the house with your own furniture.

The upstairs

One of my absolute favorite things about this house when we were looking was the massive master suite. Our master takes up the entire left side of the top floor. Because it faces west, we also have a stunning view of Pikes Peak and the Front Range. The first (and only) showing I did before I bought this house, I stood in the master with our Realtor and silently decided I would do everything in my power to have this view every single day. We have a bedroom, an en suite bathroom, and a large walk-in closet. Two of the other bedrooms and a full bath are also upstairs.

The basement

When we moved in, the basement was finished, but the flooring wasn’t done (the floor was stained cement). We had carpet installed and turned the front portion of the basement into a den. The back room is our fourth bedroom that we use as a gym. We also have a fourth bathroom that doubles as our laundry room.
