Moving madness

So I’ve mentioned a few times that we’re now moving in June. A big part of a painless move is preparing well ahead of time. We also have to begin paring down our stuff.

DVDs and such. Mac and I have reasonably similar taste in movies and so own multiple copies of GladiatorThe Patriot, and Love Actually. We also have been slowly upgrading to Blu-Ray when they go on sale. We’re going to pack up all of the duplicates and sell them at Movie Stop. But then I go on a Blu-Ray binge on Amazon. Damn you and your reasonably priced movies.

Magazines. We have several magazine subscriptions, and they start to take up a lot of space very quickly. I don’t know why, but lots of magazines laying around makes me feel like a hoarder. Martha would not approve of hoarding her mags.

Pantry. I went through a phase where I began stockpiling food items on sale. Don’t worry, I’m not like the crazies on “Extreme Couponing,” but we do have a rather healthy supply of pasta, sauce, and condiments. I really did get most of it for free or under $1. The only grocery items we’ll really need to buy are produce and meat. Anything leftover will be making its way to our church’s food bank.

What did y’all get rid of in order to move?
