Even though we won’t have visitors for months, we decided to finish off our guest room. I’m embracing my inner Martha Stewart and trying to make the guest room a bit more homey.
Nice linens
Back in the day, we splurged and bought ourselves 600 thread count sheets. Now, I’m totally spoiled and really enjoy super luxurious sheets. I found a set of 400 thread count sheets majorly on sale on Black Friday for the guest room.
A luggage rack and extra hangers
Am I now grown up because I use the luggage rack at the hotel? I’m not quite the “unpack and use the dresser” hotel guest yet, but some people do like unpacking. Makes sense to have them.
A toiletry basket and bottled water
Our wedding bathroom baskets were filled with lots of things that guests would like (mints, stain wipes, etc.), so I stuck one of them in the guest room. The dollar store baskets didn’t do too well in storage, and they’ll be replaced.
How do y’all give your guest rooms a homey touch?

We have a paper framed with the wifi login and password on it so guests can get on that without asking if we’ve already gone to bed š

We have the wifi login next to the bed too. I also always have a nice stack of towels and washcloths ready to go on the bed. I’ve been thinking of getting a luggage rack too.

All great ideas! We’re really hoping to have a formal guest room in our new house, and I can’t wait to make it cozy!
