If y’all haven’t noticed, I tend to blog about my weight loss journey around once a week. I try to be open and honest here about this part of my life (even if I’m not overly specific. I’m not quite to sharing my numerical weight yet).
Part of my motivation is accountability for myself. It helps me to talk about what I’m doing, what’s working, what’s not. It also keeps me on track. I’m not the most reliable when it comes to progress shots, so these snapshots can help me remind me where I was and where I want to end up. Posting about gaining weight really sucks. It’s embarrassing and frustrating, and I don’t want to write those posts anymore.
Part of my motivation is to be a resource for other people. I enjoy reading Brandi over at Mama Laughlin’s posts. She is so open about losing weight, and she did inspire me to share my own journey. It’s part of my life, and I might as well share it here. I don’t imagine myself to be a weight loss guru, and I don’t have a heart-wrenchingly inspiring story about weight loss. I’m just a normal person who was tired of being fat and unhappy. If I could motivate or help one person to get healthy, that would be a success to me.
Do y’all have any way of deciding what to blog about? Is losing weight one of them?

Sharing your journey is a great way to not only stay accountable but to appreciate how far you’ve come! You’re doing great, Lisa!

I love those posts. I can relate in feeling accountable. I’m lookimg into establishing a weight loss/fitness plan for myself now that i gave birth. My goal is to fit into my clothes. Right now I fit in my bigger (regular) jeans but I want to fit in all my clothes. Your posts are motivating 😉
