I am not a runner. I don’t have a trophy rack full of race bibs and finisher’s medals.
I am not a runner. I don’t have PRs or any discernible running technique. I go out there and pound the pavement.
I am not a runner. I don’t have custom-fitted running shoes or fancy running clothes or athletic tape. I run in yoga pants and college hoodies.
I am not a runner. I don’t get runner’s high or look forward to runs. I dread every one and just try to survive.

But I run, and that’s enough for me.

I’m not a runner either. The sad part is, I used to be. Now, I just feel like I can’t. No matter how hard I try. The elliptical is my best friend.
Kate @ Another Clean Slate says
I need to run. I want to be a runner. Working on it!
Jen says
You are a runner! The fact that you get out there makes you a runner.

I am not a runner either! But I wish I was. You go girl!
Liz @ Fitness Blondie says
You really are a runner though. Running does not require all that fancy crap that people show off about so much. You are DEDICATED to getting out there and make yourself do it, and that says a lot. You rock babe.
Miranda Pridgeon says
This post is my life. Nothing fancy about my running. I do it for fun in my sweats and my husband’s tees with my non professionally fitted shoes and that’s ok with me!
Sarah @ The Not Quite Military Wife says
Ugh, I hate running! Therefore, I don’t haha. I know it’s awesome for your health and all, but I just can’t make myself do it.
Stephanie says
I agree with Liz and Jen! You are a runner because you are getting out there and pounding that pavement! It is a great “sport” that doesn’t require special garments or certain PRs. Anyone can be a participant! Get it girl!
