25for25, April
April’s just breezing on by.
In honor of my 25th birthday this year (umm, what?), I’ve decided against traditional new year’s resolutions and am hopping on the 25 for 25 bandwagon. Basically, 25 goals I want to accomplish by my 25th birthday on September 18.
1. Be a better Christian: attend church regularly, finish The Purpose Driven Life, read the Bible.
2. Lose 25 pounds and keep it off.
Lol, nope. I really need to start working out and eating better.
3. Read 25 new books (I’ll give myself until the end of the year for this one).
I think I’m on 12 or 13. This might correlate to the lack of goal 2.
4. Move at least once (possibly twice!).
Mac’s been researching what he wants to do after the Signal course, and we’re planning to move a second time. But we shall see.
5. Visit somewhere I’ve never been before.
Savannah and Charleston for our anniversary vacation.
6. Start graduate school. Virginia Tech has made this attempt quite dramatic already.
Almost done with this semester. I have two major projects due in the next few weeks. Apparently, my midterm for one class wasn’t submitted to my professors, so I have to deal with this new crisis.
7. Organize our house and get us in better shape to move.
We’re moving in two months. #$$%@#$!@#$%#$%$^&%&%%^$%$#%#.
8. Grow my blog to a point where it can make me some monies.
I’ve added 100 followers in about 3 months. Whoot.
9. Celebrate our first wedding anniversary on June 9.
10. Figure out our budget, stick to it, and pay off some of my loans.
We’ve recovered from a very expensive March. I’ve started paying a little more than is due each month with my loans. Mac hasn’t noticed.
11. Complete an organized run (at least a 5K).
12. Work out 3 days a week.
I’ve failed on this one really badly.
13. Cook a new recipe at least once a week.
Been doing pretty well. I did stop writing down which recipes I made.
14. Try out all of the kitchen gadgets we received as wedding gifts. A good many of them are still in their boxes in our garage. Whoops.
This would require me being able to find these items behind Mac’s Army gear.
15. Watch our Hokies play.
August 31.
16. Hike part of the Appalachian Trail.
17. Design a Hokie room in our next house.
Our office is a Hokie delight. His and hers diplomas? Check.
18. Actually finish a blog project I start for myself.
4/4 on this one. Maybe I’ll inspire myself to work on my Virginia Tech food posts.
19. Learn how to properly apply eyeliner.
20. Do some pins from Pinterest.
I made a berry cobbler last night for dessert.
21. Host link-up parties on my blog.
Meal planning Monday! Be sure to link up each week!
22. Be pen pals with my college friends.
23. Make new friends.
24. Keep the house and garage clean.
We’ve been doing really well on this one. Just have to donate and consign a few bags of stuff that are in the garage.
25. Enjoy turning 25!
