1. This weekend, we have exciting plans to install new shelving and to get our china cabinet. #livingthedream
2. After Mac put together our filing cabinet last weekend, I was only too happy to spend lost of time filing. Color coded files make me happy. #monicagellerwouldbeproud
3. I’m over halfway through Gilmore Girls. Richard and Emily remind me a lot of my dad’s parents, but their sense of duty, family obligation, and societal importance is slightly more charming than when my own grandparents did it. And yes, I do enjoy all of the DAR references.
4. Last night, I heard a very suspicious thunk downstairs. Even the cat heard it and freaked. Being the super brave, independent woman I am, I woke up Mac to go investigate with me. Turns out, a box of blinds fell over. #scaredy-cat
5. I attempted some very bad math (my mind wanders when I run) but eventually figured out that I have paid of 52.5% of my student loans ($42,000 of $80,000) less than five years after graduation. We’re on the downhill side of the debt mountain, and it feels good. Shout-outs to the Army for having my husband deploy again and to my Grandma for deciding to give the grandkids our inheritance before she passes away (this is the Emily Gilmore grandma, too).
Have a great weekend!
