I crossed a big item off my bucket list over the weekend and finally made it to a Braves Opening Day. We only lived in Augusta six months during our first stint here, so we left before baseball season started. Tickets went on sale a few months ago, so I bought seats even though we weren’t sure what Mac’s work schedule would be like. He was slated to be teaching at this time, but the course schedule was rearranged and left him free for the game.
We headed out on Thursday for the 4:10 pm first pitch. We had quite a time finding parking (always a problem in Atlanta) and made it in for the pre-game festivities. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I may have cried when Hank Aaron drove around the stadium. The game was a bit slow, but the Braves fought back and walked off in the bottom of the ninth.
Have you ever been to an Opening Day?
