Happy March! It’s hard to believe that we’re hitting the year mark of the pandemic. We don’t have spring break this year, so we’ll have to welcome the new season with something else fun.
- We survived the great Texas winter snow-pocalypse a few weeks ago. El Paso got about 5 inches of snow, but our power stayed on. El Paso had this same kind of storm about ten years ago, so the power grid here was winterized after that. We’re also on a separate power grid and not on the main Texas grid. We stayed at home for a few days and waited for the roads to clear up. But it seems like we’re pretty much past winter. I’m excited for spring and to be able to open the windows.
- In good news: I was able to get the first COVID vaccine. Fort Bliss opened up 500 vaccines for dependents, and I made an appointment last weekend for my first shot. And then Fort Bliss ran out of vaccines. So I’m waiting to see when they get another batch of vaccines in stock, and I’m hoping it’s within the window for my second shot.
- Today is also a big birth day! My dad and one of my best friends share March 8th, so a very happy birthday to both of them. Be sure to check the mail later this week, y’all. š
- And we can’t forget my new food flavors! I found key lime M&Ms for spring. They’re white chocolate, and the key lime adds a nice zingy punch to the M&Ms. Definitely easy to eat. I also snagged the new Blue Bell flavor. It’s a cookies and cream ice cream with fudge swirls and crunchy bits added in. If you can find it, be sure to grab it.
What’s new with y’all? Any exciting plans for this month?
