What We’re Watching – Winter 2020

1 / 2 / 3 / 4

It’s been a while since I posted an update about what we’re watching. Mac’s schedule in this course isn’t bad, and he’s home before me every day. We tend to get in the routine of watching one show the whole way through. Since our Netflix subscription includes discs, we wind up with days where we don’t have discs. So we find other things to watch in between.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

We started this back in September during a particularly rough football weekend. I had seen good reviews from other people, so we gave it a go. Overall, it’s funny and light-hearted. If you don’t care for crude humor or profanity, this probably isn’t the show for you.

Castle

Castle is our current TV show. Yet another cop show, and this one has a mystery writer shadowing a police detective. I’m a fan of Nathan Fillion, and I love the Firefly references throughout the show.

Always Be My Maybe

Netflix struck gold with this rom-com. It’s about two high school friends who fall out and then run into each other years later. Ali Wong is hilarious, and this movie was laugh-out-loud funny. Mr. Park was probably my favorite character. I would definitely recommend it.

The Crown

After years of waiting, The Crown is finally back. And over too soon. I was curious how the show would transition to a whole new cast, and I think they pulled it off. This season doesn’t start too long after season 2 ended. I enjoyed it, but a few episodes weren’t my favorite. I’m also waiting to see where the story goes in season 4.

What are y’all watching? Any good show recommendations?
