Last minute Amazon Prime gift exchange ideas

It’s that time of the year. Lots of holiday and Christmas parties, white elephant swaps, and other fun events. If you’re anything like me, you generally procrastinate and wind up trying to find something great at the last minute. I’m trying to embrace more perks of Amazon Prime besides my excessive book buying, so I put together some great last minute gift exchange ideas you can get on Prime. You may even qualify for same-day delivery if you live in markets where that is available.

Gift exchange ideas

For the home chef

These food dice are adorable. They’re a great way to mix up what you normally cook, and they do it in a fun way. If you have friends, family, or coworkers who aren’t cooks, they also offer several other designs.

Everyone needs more puns in their lives. I have to say I’m a fan of this “Hakuna Frittata” sign. There are tons of cute kitchen puns, so be sure to grab one for your favorite foodie.

I love spice samplers. They’re an easy way to try out a bunch of different flavors without committing too much to one you don’t like. These salt flavors are intriguing, and I can think of a lot of dishes that would be great with a pinch or two of these sprinkled on top.

For the office supply lover

This cell phone holder / desk organizer is must-have for anyone who needs more desk space. It can corral your pens, sticky notes, and those other small bits and bobs that seem to be everywhere in the way until you need them.

I really need this message board that attaches to your computer monitor. I am the sticky note queen, and I basically wallpaper my desk and wall space with notes. This board keeps everything in one spot and a tad more tidy than my personal method. And it has pandas.

This post should be called “what to buy Lisa in a gift exchange” because I also love these kitty notebooks. While I was tempted to put them in the cat lover section, they come in a few different styles and colors. I love having a notebook handy to jot down ideas or projects, and these are a great size. You can keep them on your desk, pop them in a bag, or tuck in a tablet or laptop case.

For the coffee addict

K-cup sampler packs are perfect for the coffee lover in your life. They get a mix of different flavors and brands, and you don’t have to agonize over choosing between the Sumatran or French vanilla options. Plus, your coffee lover friend can restock on the flavors that they loved.

Any busy coffee drinker will love this coffee cup warmer. They’re designed to keep your coffee warm on those crazy days where you don’t get a chance to sit down and enjoy your whole cup before the day starts.

Don’t sue me because they aren’t coffee, but how cute are these tea drops? The drops are pressed loose-leaf tea that you pour hot water over. You let them steep like regular bags, and you have a nice, steaming hot cup of tea.

For the cat lover

Confession: I drew my supervisor in a gift exchange while in grad school and gifted him these cat butt magnets. He’s also a cat person, so he thought they were funny. Yes, they are kind of dumb, but they’ll bring a smile to a cat lover’s face.

You want to gift useful cat stuff? Buy your cat-maniac pal these Scotch tape and sticky note dispensers. I have them and love them. They’re weighted, so you can easily use one hand to grab tape or a sticky. Everyone will also love them. You can normally find these in Office Max, Target, Staples, and other similar stores if you need to get them today.

This mouse pad basically sums up why most cat parents work, right? We have a sign that says, “I work hard to give my cats a better Christmas.” This one’s a bit more year-round. They should also add “buy nice things that my cat won’t use.”
