The flip side of wedding planning
Now that I’ve finished my recaps, I have some advice for all your brides out there.
1. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want. After all, it is your and your fiance’s wedding day. But you have to walk a fine line of confident bride and raging Bridezilla. Your mother, wedding planner, and your florist shouldn’t bully you into decisions that you don’t like. Know what you want, and don’t be afraid to say that you want it.

2. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Chances are, even if you’re a wedding blogger, your guests won’t really care if you pass up Chiavari chairs or didn’t get a chance to hand-emboss your cocktail napkins. Relax. The day should be about your loved ones celebrating the love between you and the man of your dreams.
3. In the end, you’re marrying your best friend and soul mate. Barring a major catastrophe on wedding day, you will be married at the end of the day. So the band or DJ played the wrong song or Aunt Susie drank a bit too much. Did it really ruin your day? Hopefully not. Hell, our pastor (whom I’d known over a year and a half by wedding day) called me the wrong.freaking.name. I corrected him and kept on going.
