Y’all, I have a confession. 90% of our fights as a married couple stem from arguing about where we want to go out to eat. A friend posted this E-card, and it really spoke to my soul.
When we were in Augusta, I made a date book for us to try new restaurants since we were only there six months. Jen shared her date idea jar for her husband, and I decided to make Mac a variation for Christmas. Because I have class on Saturday mornings and it’s football season, we haven’t been on too many proper dates in the past few months. So I’m making a date night jar and a new restaurant jar. Hopefully (with the end of college football approaching), we will make more of an effort to leave the house on Saturdays. I thought about being super creative and color coordinating based on cost or location, but I couldn’t decide on a good way to do it. You can also make any number of sticks. You then write a date idea (movie, mini golf, bowling, etc.) or the name of the restaurant on a Popsicle stick.
How do y’all try new date ideas?

Ryan and I can never decide where to eat out, so we try to do simpler dates like a picnic dinner, or a drive-in move or something! That way, the menu is pretty staple š

Oh my goodness, yes!!!!! We fight all the time about where to go out to eat haha.

Deciding where to eat is the actual worst decision that ever needs to be made…. to the point that there are times when we order a pizza and stay home instead of trying to decide on a restaurant. Sigh.

Yup, my husband is all, “You pick somewhere.” I pick something and he makes a face so I’m like, “Then what do YOU want?” and he’s like, “No we’ll go where you decided..” But he still doesn’t look happy. Ugh.

We have in the past 7 years discovered how to solve this problem. Let me choose.

Yelp always helps us out! We haven’t had too many date nights, but Yelp is always the go to.

Oh my gosh, we are the WORST at deciding, too! I definitely use Yelp and we have a city-wide site that’s similar. I love Jen’s date jar idea!

We’re all about Yelp these days, and it’s helped a lot.

Yep, I can see how choosing restaurants can be problematic! It’s hard if the two of you have different tastes. Hopefully you find a new place that you can both agree on. š

Good idea! I made my husband a book of 12 local restaurants last year as part of his Christmas gift, and we try one new one each month and then review it! š

We are officially the worst as well which is why we always end up at our grocery store’s buffet line (which we do love) but still.
