I woke up today, and it was October. Okay, confession: it was already October when I went to bed. My second half-marathon is about six weeks away. I’ll be honest: I haven’t been training anywhere near what I should be doing. September was a rough month for me motivation wise. I was having trouble sleeping, getting restful sleep, and waking up in a timely fashion to do anything productive besides going to work. The only good news is that I’ve improved my pace on the runs I have done. But a new month is a new start. After a trip I’m taking next week, I’m going to get a new package at Pure Barre for cross training then really kick my run schedule into high gear. The plus side of this half-marathon is a long weekend in Vegas.
How do y’all motivate yourselves? Do you have any tricks for pulling through a rough patch?

Awesome for you! I wish I could do a half, but after I hurt my knee, I can’t do high-impact stuff anymore ๐ Good luck to you!!!

A long weekend in Vegas. Nice!! You rocked your last race. I’m sure you’ll do great on this one.

You will do great. If I need a push for a race, I just look at how many days are left. That usually puts me in “Oh shoot” mode.
