It’s tragic that as a military child, I got a whole month of appreciation. Now as a military wife, I only get a day. What is that about. But Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day! That’s a mouthful.
Take a moment today to say thanks to the spouses of our men and women in the armed forces. Being married to an Army officer certainly isn’t a job and it certainly isn’t the hardest job in the Army, but military spouses are tough cookies. We deal with deployments, missedbirthdays, anniversaries, births everything, and unpredictable schedules while only moderately bitching about it. We support each other through these times, we love the opportunities to reconnect with our Army BFFs, and we have an unspoken connection in our own life journeys.

But our military loves make it all worth while (though Mac and I were talking about him taking command last night, and I might’ve started crying). If you’re a fellow milspo who isn’t currently knocked up, let’s have a collective glass of wine tonight to celebrate the friendship and bond that keeps all of us together.
And be sure to link up with Amanda at Somewhere Over the Camo today!
