This post title is a total oxymoron because weight loss takes time, effort, dedication, and planning. But I have discovered a few lazy weight loss tricks over the years.
1. Depending on your diet style (like low-carb, Paleo, just calorie counting), buy prepared foods. It is more expensive, but you are more likely to stay with your plan. Salad mix or packaged salads are easy ways to get greens. 100 calorie packs are amazing. The trick is to eat just one. Frozen meals (think Smart Ones or Lean Cuisines) are great for me for work lunches.
2. Portion control is key. Going out to eat? Cut your meal in half and take it home for a second meal. You’ll get more for your money instead of leaving what you didn’t eat at the restaurant.
3. Prep multiple meals at once. If you hate cooking or are short on time, make large batches and chill or freeze what you don’t need for later.
4. Water, water, water. It’s time to invest in a quality water bottle. Staying hydrated can help eliminate that hungry feeling you get when you actually aren’t hungry.
5. When I go out to eat, I order a soda and a glass of water. I drink the water more quickly and have the waiter refill only that one.
What are some lazy weight loss tips you’ve picked up over the years?

Portion control is such an important part of it! People think you have to cut out everything that is bad, that’s just not true.

I am so bad about portion control! I don’t really like eating most leftovers and don’t have a microwave so am not compelled to save half when I go to restaurants. It is something i need to be better about!

I like the soda trick! I’ve taken to just not ordering them at all, now, and it was easier than I thought it would be. I also do things like take half the bread off my sandwich if I order it and ask for the dressing on the side every time because it’s usually less than what they would dress it with. It’s easy to find little things to change!

I like breaking down your meals so you aren’t eating as much in one time, but more or less snaking throughout the day. I also only pack healthy snacks for work so I don’t really have any other option.
