If I had planned this, I would’ve managed to publish this yesterday on our actual anniversary.
We celebrated anniversary #4 with pizza, again, but I didn’t photograph it. And we finally visited the North Carolina Zoo.
Mac and I also headed over to Wilmington to enjoy North Carolina’s beautiful spring weather.
We spent the spring getting ready to leave Fort Bragg. My parents came to visit, and we enjoyed a day trip to wine country.
After three years, we were ready to move. But first, we headed off to Savannah and Charleston for vacation.
We moved to Georgia about a week later. And, of course, adopted our Purrburger (who is currently sleeping on my brand new Braves jersey).
Another trip to Atlanta was in the works to attend Chipper Jones’ jersey retirement.
Our summer was pretty low key because Mac was in the Signal course. We kicked off football season by going back to Atlanta for Virginia Tech’s season opener. Weekends during the fall are spent watching football, so we spent a lot of quality time on our couch. But we did manage to visit a pumpkin patch (kind of).
We found out Mac would be deploying again, and he graduated from his course the day before Thanksgiving.
So we packed up and moved here to northern Virginia. Yet another round of holiday road-tripping was in store. We also managed to check out the National Christmas Tree and the Zoo Lights.
Then Mac deployed again. Boo. So here we are, five years in.
