A few weeks ago, I had grand ambitions to go to run and go to Pure Barre every day. As the weeks have gone on, I’ve been getting more hours at work (like 15 to 20 last week to 25 this week to 30 next week), so I have to adjust my plans. I like running outside, and I only run during the day for safety. The Pure Barre studio I go to is about 20 minutes away, and I can’t take the interstate to get there during rush hour (it’s restricted to HOV only from where I get on in those hours). So I’m limited here to the morning classes. In order to keep everything straight and to make sure I’m keeping up with my workouts, I’m going to invest in a dry erase calendar like this one.

How do y’all balance working out, work, and life in general?

I sometimes get caught up in not wanting to run after work (I’m a teacher, so I’m at work from 6:30am-3:30pm), so I take my running gear with me and change there so I am ready to go when I get home (if I’m running outside) or can stop straight at the gym on my way home (if it’s too cold outside). It really helps a lot! ๐

Usually if my day is packed I will get up an hour early to run, it helps me start the day out right.
