Mac and I have been able to spend the first few Christmases of our marriage together, and we’ve started some traditions as a new family. On the whole, I do not put up Christmas trees before Thanksgiving. I also am not in a hurry to put them up, anyways. My sister’s birthday is December 11, so my parents always made sure to wait until her birthday to put up our tree.
To remember all of our travels (and homes), we’ve decided to get an ornament from the various places. Mac really liked the look of the laser-cut metal ornaments, and that’s what we’re collecting. So far, we have ones from the Outer Banks, Charleston, Savannah, North Carolina, and Georgia.
We have yet to host an actual Christmas at our home. I’m hoping that we can create some new traditions when we actually have family over.
What sort of traditions do y’all have? Any that you carried over from childhood?
We have a few Christmas traditions. One is that we always watch A Muppet Christmas and Claymation Christmas. 🙂
