Hi, my name is Lisa. I have an addiction. That addiction is British TV. I mentioned last year that I discovered the wonders of Downton Abbey and proceeded to watch all three seasons in about a week. A few months later, Mac and I were hanging out and decided to watch something on Netflix. We happened across the BBC drama “Sherlock,” starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Having watched CBS’s sad excuse of a show “Elementary,” I was intrigued.
And now I’m obsessed. Steve Moffat (Doctor Who) and Mark Gatiss (Redrum) are part of the creative team behind the show, and they’re brilliantly sadistic at getting people addicted to their TV shows. I highly recommend Sherlock: it’s witty, modern, and quite entertaining. But be warned: there are two seasons of three episodes (but each episode is 1.5 hours long). Season three doesn’t start until January.

I actually like Elementary… we’ve been watching it since the beginning 🙂 But we have watching Sherlock as well, and really enjoyed it, too. That kind of show is right up our alley – much more than reality TV or whatever.

Hi Lisa! lol I like how you started off the post like an addictions meeting. I haven’t really watched too much British TV but my hubby and I use to watch this show called Little Britan U.S.A. and it was hilarious!

I love Sherlock! I got to use a clip from the show in a lesson last week and that made me VERY happy (the one where Sherlock corrects the inmate’s grammar).
