1. What is your dream job?
A sports nutritionist for the Denver Broncos or Atlanta Braves. I’m working on my Masters in Food Safety, but I still entertain the notion of going back and finishing my RD.
2. If you had just won the lottery and didn’t need to work for money, what would you do with your time?
Nothing? I would probably volunteer with some of the organizations I would give money to.
3. What piece of career advice would you give to someone just starting out in your field?
Be prepared to move! Food science is an extremely marketable degree IF you are willing to move to find a job. Sadly, Army posts aren’t located near the places with the good jobs.
4. What would be your ideal “just for fun” job?
Professional sorority member.
5. What was your first “real” job?
My first actual job was working in my church’s nursery (I was on the payroll and everything). Out of college, I worked at Smithfield (the pork company) for about a month. I hated it so much, and I quit. I then started working at House of Raeford (a poultry processor).

Aren’t you so jealous of the old ladies that get paid to run the sorority?! I need to figure out how to score that job.

I too think I would love to work for my Sorority Organization. I think working at IO would be super fun and would give me the opportunity to relive the college days lol
