My birthday is on the 18th, so I’ve decided to update my 25for25 progress on the 18th of each month. Lucky you.
1. Be a better Christian: attend church regularly, finish The Purpose Driven Life, read the Bible.
I’m 0 for 2 on church. Apparently, my Sunday morning alarm was turned off. I did buy a study Bible to read in 365 days.
2. Lose 25 pounds and keep it off. I’m getting serious with the Ideal Protein.
3 pounds down, 22 to go.
3. Read 25 new books (I’ll give myself until the end of the year for this one).
2.75 / 25 done.
4. Move at least once (possibly twice!).
Still waiting on orders. Mac put in for a pass next month to look for housing!
5. Visit somewhere I’ve never been before.
Possibly Charleston for vacation this year?
6. Start graduate school. Virginia Tech has made this attempt quite dramatic already.
Working on it. As usual, my alma mater likes to make things difficult.
7. Organize our house and get us in better shape to move.
Yeah, no.
8. Grow my blog to a point where it can make me some monies.
Yeah, no. But welcome to my new followers!
9. Celebrate our first wedding anniversary on June 9.
I’ll get back to you in June.
10. Figure out our budget, stick to it, and pay off some of my loans.
Working on the budget thang. Posting about it soon!
11. Complete an organized run (at least a 5K).
One must run which one has not done. One is sick. Cough, cough.
12. Work out 3 days a week.
Please see above.
13. Cook a new recipe at least once a week.
3/3 so far. Several of them weren’t very purty, so they won’t be gracing the blog.
14. Try out all of the kitchen gadgets we received as wedding gifts. A good many of them are still in their boxes in our garage. Whoops.
Hmm, I’ll actually have to see what’s out there. Maybe my cookie gun. But I have decided I want a bread machine. Now to tell Mac.
15. Watch our Hokies play.
We’re looking at going to the Alabama or Georgia Tech games (or both?) since they’re in Atlanta.
16. Hike part of the Appalachian Trail.
I’m slowly trying to convince Mac to go to Asheville for a romantic birthday weekend (his, of course).
17. Design a Hokie room in our next house.
My intention is to make a spare room (assuming we move into a 3 or 4 bedroom house) into a Hokie home office.
18. Actually finish a blog project I start for myself.
Hmm, the 25for25 has more promise than my other ideas.
19. Learn how to properly apply eyeliner.
Still struggling.
20. Do some pins from Pinterest.
I have about 150 or so waiting for me.
21. Host link-up parties on my blog.
My plan is to host link-ups every few weeks for different Pinterest ideas (one for cooking, one for crafts, etc).
22. Be pen pals with my college friends.
So I bought my little a birthday card and still haven’t sent it to her. Nor did I wish her Happy Birthday. Sorry, Jeymie 🙁
23. Make new friends.
One must go out in public and associate with people one doesn’t know. Though I did meet a new lady at my Junior League and DAR meetings this week.
24. Keep the house and garage clean.
This weekend has been designated for cleaning the garage. It’s the small joys in married life that keep the passion going.
25. Enjoy turning 25!

Haha! This post made me laugh- I can relate to a lot of what you wrote. I’m popping in from the Wednesday Walkabout. On Sunday, naturally, because I am always late to the party. I like to think I’m “fashionably late” but the cut off for probably ended Thursday. Oh well. Anyways, newest follower! Hope you get orders soon! It’s tough just waiting.
