So remember on Friday when I said that we still hadn’t planned Leslie’s bachelorette party? That was a slight lie in case she happened to stop by here. We (well, Christina) threw Leslie a surprise bachelorette party over the weekend. And I had a complete airhead moment and left my camera (and my glasses) at home.
Adam lured Leslie out of the house by telling her they were going to the park to play around with the DSLR he bought her for their honeymoon. He drove her over to us, we took her home to change, then we were off to Narcisi Vineyards. It’s a family-run vineyard about 10 minutes from our grandparents’ house. The tour was fine, if a bit long winded. The wine was good, and lunch was amazing. We over ordered the appetizers, so no one finished their entrées.
After lunch, we headed over to Painting with a Twist. Leslie is a very talented artist, and she loves to paint. This was a perfect choice for her. Our design was “Harvest Moon,” and we broke out some of the wine from Narcisi. My personal canvas took a slight turn from the template because I can’t paint, but we still had fun.

I think a surprise bachelorette party is such an awesome idea! And I love how big those painting classes seem to have gotten lately, I haven’t had a chance to try one out yet, but they look like they’d be a ton of fun!
