Today is my beloved’s 27th birthday. Mac spent his last night in his mid-20s playing Lego Harry Potter. This included him running over Malfoy with a train because I asked him to. True love, y’all. Hard to believe that our first date was four years ago on his 23rd birthday. Sadly, the restaurant where we had our $7 first date (Backstreet’s) is now closing. I thought I was hilarious with the “Over the Hill” candle. Har dee har har. 24 year old me does not find this as humorous as 20 year old me.
His parents are coming down for the night, so we’re going out to Morgan’s Chop House for dinner. Breaking out the fancy restaurant where I ate a $50 buffalo steak for my own birthday. Maybe one of us will be brave enough to try kangaroo. And, depending on the weather, we might check out a few museums downtown.

We aren’t doing much this weekend.. A couple of friends are coming over for Easter dinner, but that’s it.

Sounds like a fun night! Happy birthday to Mac! Y’all are the same ages as us! I’m 24 (for a few more months) and DLW will be 27 later this year. I love giving him crap for being “old” when we are always the youngest in our group of friends.
