I really can’t claim any sort of creative genius in this recipe for cocktail meatballs. My mom has made these my whole life, and it doesn’t seem to be an uncommon recipe, either (though my mom’s are the best). But they are super tasty and are great in the Crock Pot or for parties. I like to make cocktail meatballs as an appetizer or as a dinner entree. When I… View Post »
That time I missed my blog-iversary
So my third blog-iversary was yesterday. My little ole blog is going to Pre-K. Clearly, it was such a pivotal moment in time that I didn’t even think of it until last night. Thanks to everyone who has stuck around over the years. I appreciate y’all.

I am totally guilty of it, too. We feel a constant need to one-up each other (especially on tough stuff like deployments) instead of supporting each other. Amanda asks: “Will you guys have kids? Or only furkids?” We have a… View Post »
Spinach artichoke dip

I made it for a Christmas party many years ago and have tweaked it to my liking since then. It feeds a crowd, and you’ll probably come home with an empty bowl. This recipe also divides well. You can split the spinach artichoke dip into two containers and freeze it. Try… View Post »
Moving announcement options
Now that I finally mailed our Christmas cards, I’m onto finding the perfect moving announcement. I’ve narrowed down to a few options. Option 1: I fell in love with these Colorado ones (top right) because our last name is already a C. Option 2: Our friends and family won’t be able to make it out here for months, so this photo card (left) with a picture of our new home might… View Post »
