Mac and I made our way back to the Orangery to find a crazy dance party already in process. Our friends were making good use of the open bar and the dance floor. All photos courtesy of Carolina MediaStar. Our wedding weekend:Friday, we rehearsed, relaxed over dinner, and hosted an open house. Wedding morning dawned bright and early, we got prettified, then had our first look. We waited for some… View Post »
Photo shoot, round 2
Dusk arrived as our friends headed back inside. We asked for a shot of us in front of the Orangery. Sarah and Terry then suggested we walk around for some more photos in the darker lighting. The lights in the Arbor were now on, so we wandered around. The ever-popular “don’t drop me” pose. Fun fact: our photographer did the engagement photosof Mac’s former battery commander and his wife. The dance floor was warming up, so I decided to grab our college friends and our photographers before things got too out of hand. Our DJ really struggled with asking all Alpha Gams AND Virginia Tech Hokies to head over to the terrace. He kept saying “Virginia Tech Alpha Gams.” Umm, only Tech Alpha Gams were at the wedding. So far, I’ve managed to pull in Titanic 3D on Blu-Ray, two books about the Tudors, a book about Titanic, and a gift card. Whoot. Here’s hoping… View Post »

I hadn’t fully decided on doing these when I filled out and… View Post »
The anniversary dance
Our DJ called us back to the floor and invited all the other married couples out with us. Each couple sat down when he announced the time married. We didn’t want to throw everybody off, so we sat down when he said “if you’ve been married less than a day.” My little, Jeymie (who has an adorable blog), and her hubby, Mike, were next at less than a month. He’s… View Post »
