This past week has been a whirlwind. We packed up all of our stuff and moved up here to Virginia. Our storage unit is currently packed to the brim (I’m glad we went with a 10×20 unit instead of the recommended 10×15 unit). This week, I have two exams to finish out my second semester of grad school. We have a chunk of Christmas shopping to finish, and we need… View Post »
Sunday Social: Christmas
1. What is your favorite Holiday Movies/TV Specials? The original “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “Elf,” and “Love Actually.” 2. Do you do any volunteering during the holidays if so what? Instead, they loaded Tuesday and will hopefully deliver tomorrow. They had quite a time packing the truck. Apparently, the truck was carrying another shipment in addition to ours. That other shipment took up a lot more space than they were expecting, so there… View Post »

They’re great for Christmas party recipe swaps or if you want to make large numbers of homemade gifts. Candied nuts are also a perfect addition to an appetizer board with charcuterie and other salty nibbles. We make candied pecans because pecans are Mac’s favorite nut, but you can use pretty… View Post »
