1. We’re getting settled here at the in-laws’ house. Yesterday, we bought this bed frame (the bed is currently on the basic metal frame) and this dresser (the room has a built-in dresser that isn’t big enough) for the room.
2. This gross, cold weather is making me sick. I’m turning to my standard “illness prevention” elixir of orange juice and Sprite Zero with regular doses of Mucinex cold medicine.

3. Our household goods are being delivered as we speak. The moving company told us to plan for delivery between 8 and 10 am. Ron the truck driver called at 6:55 am. Ouch.
4. I’m already loving being so close to friends and family. I went to a Christmas card writing party hosted by one of my dear friends last night. We already have plans for tonight and tomorrow as well. After being in a social interaction desert (monthly coffees, Junior League meetings, and FRG functions were what I mostly had), I’m now in an oasis.
5. We started our actual Christmas shopping yesterday. Can you believe that it’s less than two weeks away? 2013 has flown by.
