Y’all, we’re in our second to last month of 2020! We get to kick off the full holiday season and all that brings.
- We headed up to Guadalupe Mountain National Park a few weekends ago to go hiking. It was nice to get outside, stretch our legs, and enjoy fall color in far West Texas. The weather was great, and we crossed our first Texas National Park Service site off our list. We had planned to pop across the New Mexico border to Carlsbad Caverns National Park but decided to stay local because of #4.
- In a surprising turn of events, it snowed last week. We had a bit of a cold snap, and that brought some snow showers. It didn’t really stick on the roads, and we woke up to a lovely mountain view (that melted later that day).
- My blog is a non-political pace, but I have to say that I’m glad that election season is over. I dislike election ads, and we managed to see ads for Texas, New Mexico, Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Iowa, and Michigan (thanks, football season). So now we can get back to our normal programming of Christmas ads in early November.
- El Paso is a new COVID hotspot. Whoopie. I’m hoping the city can get past this surge soon. Remember to wash your hands, cover your mouth, and don’t be gross.
- Who’s excited for the Christmas / winter / holiday seasonal snack and candy products? I was perusing the seasonal aisle at Albertson’s looking for Halloween candy, and it was completely gone. Instead, I found these sugar cookie M&Ms with the Christmas goodies. They’re a crispy M&M filling with white chocolate coating. Mac loves white chocolate, so I knew we needed to try them. Even though they weren’t my favorite M&Ms ever, they got ate.
How’s November treating y’all?
