I have to admit that I went a little gung-ho when I made our wedding registry (hello, three blenders). We bought the basic household items when we first moved in together, so we decided to fill out our registry with things we hadn’t bought. You’ll notice that most of this is kitchen stuff. We didn’t register for tons of other household items since we already owned them. After paring down our household goods during five moves in seven years, I thought it would be helpful to share what we actually use from our wedding registry. While we do a lot of the times we registered for, these are the ones we use the most.
The Kitchen-Aid stand mixer
This was my “absolutely want” wedding gift. Yes, it is big. Yes, it has a bunch of parts (and you can buy tons more). But it has been a worthwhile gift. I actually struggled to use the Kitchen Aid when we first got it because I had never had one. Now, I use it for baking, for shredding chicken and cheese, and lots of other random kitchen tasks. I also bought a glass bowl and another beater to be able to make recipes that require multiple steps (like whipping egg whites or creaming sugar).
A food processor
I really regret not using my food processor from the beginning. They’re amazing. Shredding cheese, slicing veggies, or mixing up dough? My food processor can do it all (the one I’ve linked is the closest to the one we own). It makes food and ingredient prep so much easier and faster.
These baking dishes
I love a good ceramic baking dish. If you poked through my kitchen cabinets, you would definitely agree. I probably have 10 or so ceramic dishes (though some are small ramekins). This set is pretty close to what we have, and I love them. You can make casseroles, bake chicken, heat up dip, and do tons cooking in them.
Not on the registry gifts
While we didn’t register for these gifts, they are two of the most used items in our house. The first is a crystal ring holder. One of my sorority sisters gifted me this, and I keep my rings on it everyday. I don’t wear my rings at home (because I lose them), and this give me a set place to keep them.
The second is a napkin holder from one of my bridesmaids. She bought it because it has a squirrel weight. The one I linked is the same style (though it’s not a squirrel weight). I honestly have no idea where she bought it, but we use it every single day. It also allowed me to embrace my love of decorative paper products because I buy seasonal napkins for it.

Good list! My most used wedding registry items are: our bathroom towels, kitchen aid mixer, every day white dishes, 9×13 Pyrex travel dish and pots and pans.

Yes on the 9×13 Pryex. The one that we use was actually a wedding present that my in-laws got back in 1982. They’re such good quality that it’s lasted all these years.

This is a really good list. We didn’t have a wedding registry because we both had everything we needed. I love seeing what others get a lot of use out of.

We had a good amount of kitchen gear, so we didn’t register for those. It was a great chance to get those things we didn’t have.

We didn’t have a registry, since we got married via frat party, but amen on the mixer with extra bowls and beaters!

Your wedding honestly sounds like it was a blast, though. I wish I had bought more accessories earlier!
