How is it already the end of June? January lasts forever, and then, bam, Hobby Lobby is putting out Christmas decor. I haven’t shared any life lately on the blog in quite a while, so I thought I’d let y’all know what’s going on in our neck of the woods.
1. Most of life lately has been work. I really enjoy my job, but a major downside of living and working on post is that we have no motivation to go anywhere during the week. We get home, make dinner, and chill on the couch until we go to bed. I won’t complain because this is the most time Mac and I have spent together in the 9 years we have been together. We’ve also watched tons of shows (Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Outlander).
2. For about a year, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep blogging. I thought about how much I love blogging, so I opted for a full refresh with a new name and design. I also decided to commit to making blogging a source of income for me (I know, I’ve been saying this from the start). Since launching my new blog, I decided to do a full content audit and update all of my old content. I’ve been blogging for over 6 years, during which time I posted an eye-popping 1300 times. I never got around to updating my old Blogger posts (the photo dimensions are messed up). I’m working through those old posts and deciding what I want to do with them.
3. We’re almost two months into our keto journey. Mac and I honestly enjoy the food, and it’s been an easy “diet” for us. I have a few more keto blog posts to share, and I hope y’all enjoy them and can get some helpful information from them. Keto has been a great decision for us.
4. We bought season tickets for Virginia Tech football! Mac would love to buy season tickets every year, but the Army has other ideas in mind. We are planning to go to at least two home games and the Florida State game in Tallahassee. I’m excited to visit with college friends and spend more time in our favorite place. Also, I will never turn down tailgating food (including the most delicious dip in the world).
What’s new with y’all?

I love that you are sharing your keto journey! My parents are doing it and love it as well! Also – big, big kudos on the rebrand and committing to making it a source of income 🙂
