Our first full day in London, we toured the Tower of London. We arrived close to the end of the day, so we hopped on the last official Beefeater tour. If you decide to visit, definitely try to do a Beefeater tour. The Beefeaters are very well-trained and knowledgeable about everything you could possible think of. This is also the only way to see the St. Peter ad Vincula Chapel where those who were executed on Tower Green are buried (including queens Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard). My only comment is that the Tower tour is very superficial in detail; if you’re a buff about English history, you may know most of the main bits of their trivia. The Tower of London is quite a large complex. Give yourself plenty of time to walk the main grounds and explore the various exhibits in the other towers.
